Principal Consultant – Project Services
Andrew’s career in logistics spans twenty-six years incorporating operations management, process and systems design, WMS architecture and project management.
Andrew combined his passion for Information Technology and Logistics early in his career, first by challenging and improving the distribution processes where he worked in operations and then by programming systems to improve productivity. These initial experiences developed into projects, from turning around go lives that had gone awry to managing warehouse implementations to heading the Australia and New Zealand Toll Project Delivery team.
Andrew authored the Toll project management methodology for implementations which is used in all of Toll’s warehousing projects and spearheaded the WMS selection panel – to choose the Tier One WMS used in Toll today.
His experience in IT, programming and warehouse design and working across multiple warehouse management systems gives him a unique skillset to bring logistics projects from cost model to go live. Andrew works with the customer from the very first stage, defining business requirements and producing clear and concise documents. He then fronts workshops with WMS configurators, System Integrators, Operations and infrastructure teams, seamlessly translating requirements and writing technical specs. Throughout a project, Andrew is controlling each phase, keeping the teams on track, reporting to stakeholders and managing risk.
