Kmart Australia has announced it will partner with Cohesio Group (Körber) to deploy Android Voice solutions across its fulfilment operations in order to meet increased customer demand. This deployment will mark Kmart Australia as the first retailer in Australia to deploy Android Voice solutions across its fulfilment operation.
Set to go live from July, the deployment in Kmart’s distribution centres (DC) will support Kmart stores and KHub stores that will be opening from July.
The large-scale deployment of Cohesio’s Android Voice solutions powered by Honeywell’s Guided Workflow Solution took less than four weeks and follows Kmart’s previous installation of the solution at four DCs across the country.
Kmart has recently experienced significant growth across its instore and online channels. By deploying Cohesio Group’s Android Voice solution, Kmart can better meet its retail fulfilment goals. With the Android Voice solution, the leading retailer will be able to meet faster and more efficient delivery and picking targets across its DC’s, instore and online operations.
The Android Voice solution provides operators with significant productivity gains. The solution gives operators more freedom to carry out their tasks efficiently and productively. Users are no longer required to spend time looking at picking slips but can instead listen to order details while they continue to pick and pack.
The voice solution also provides the user with more information around location and order details, offering the picker an image of the product which is proven to enable them to make faster and more accurate decisions.
